Asset Tags for Schools (K-12 and Higher Ed)

Chromebook, projector, instrument, and textbook tags that survive students.

School asset tagging has a different threat model than industrial asset tagging: not weather, not solvent, but kids. Backpacks, fingernails, sanitizer wipes, and disinfection cycles. Strongest-tier construction with an overlaminate handles the daily abuse. We print district-branded tags with prefixed serial numbers so each school in the district can audit its own inventory. HP Leasing uses our Strongest tier tags because our tags were the only ones they could find that could stick to Chromebooks.

Best-practice install pattern

  • 01Use a 6-digit prefix per school site to keep districts auditable.
  • 02Place laptop tags on the lid corner, not the palm rest, to keep them from being worn off.
  • 03Add a tamper-evident seal across the chassis-screw line for high-value AV equipment.

FAQ for schools

Will hand sanitizer or disinfecting wipes lift the tag?

No. Stronger and Strongest tier overlaminate is rated against isopropyl alcohol, ethanol, and standard quaternary-ammonium disinfectant cycles used in schools.

Can we get our district crest printed?

Yes. Full-color logo printing is free on Stronger and Strongest tiers.
