Our tags are on assets at NASA, the U.S. Navy and NOAA. Federal and military property programs ask the same things of a tag as any other program: stay on, stay readable, and match the record when the auditor checks it. They ask it on a fixed schedule, across many sites, and often outdoors.

Audit day goes well when every tag scans and every number exists in your accountability system exactly once. We print serialized numbering in a single run, sequential or from your own list, with a barcode or QR code on any tier. A multi-segment number that encodes facility, department and sequence keeps sites apart and makes a missing asset easy to spot. In one federal agency audit, standardized tamper-evident tags with that kind of numbering scheme replaced tags that were inconsistent from site to site, and the audit passed on the first attempt.

Property accountability also depends on knowing a tag has not been moved from one asset to another. Tamper-evident labels come in two constructions. VOID-residue labels leave a pattern on the asset and on the label when someone tries to peel them. Destructible labels break apart, so they cannot be reapplied.

Coastal and outdoor sites need more than an indoor label. The Strongest tier is 12-mil plastic with a permanent adhesive that bonds to powdercoat and textured surfaces, sealed under a 6-mil overlaminate. It is rated 5+ years outdoors and resists salt fog and UV. Stronger and Strongest tags are rated -40°F to 250°F continuous service. Every environment is different, so no tag's lifespan is guaranteed, and samples let you test on your own equipment first.
