Custom Case Badges
Domed and metal-look badges for computer cases, hard cases and branded enclosures.
A case badge is the small branded plate on the front of a computer, a hard case or an equipment enclosure, and it should look like a manufactured part, not a sticker. We make custom case badges two ways: 3D domed badges with full-color print under a glossy polyurethane lens, and flat metal-look badges on 12-mil plastic with the artwork protected under a thick overlaminate. Both install peel-and-stick.

What custom case badges are for
A badge puts your brand on the product itself. Computer builders put them on PC cases, equipment makers put them on enclosures and control boxes, and gear makers put them on hard cases.
Because a badge is seen up close, appearance matters as much as durability. That is why we build them as 3D nameplates rather than flat printed labels: the result reads as a finished, manufactured part.
Domed badges: full-color print under a clear lens
A domed badge starts with your artwork printed in full color. A clear polyurethane dome sits over the print as a glossy, raised lens, which gives the badge depth and a tactile feel that a flat label cannot match. Because the print is full color, brand colors and multi-color logos carry through to the finished badge.
The dome material matters. Our polyurethane is UV stabilized and tested to keep its clarity for 5+ years outdoors. Cheaper epoxy domes yellow over time.
PC case badges and computer case badges
PC case badges are usually small, so the artwork has to be clean. Send a vector file if you have one; high-resolution raster artwork is also accepted.
Badges for computer cases can be made in any size and shape: small squares, rounds, ovals, rectangles or a custom outline that follows your logo. A permanent adhesive is standard, with a high-bond option for assembly, so each badge goes on by peeling the liner and pressing it into place.
Metal-look custom case badges
If you want the look of anodized aluminum without a dome, use a metal-look badge. It is 12-mil plastic with full-color print under a thick overlaminate that protects the artwork from UV and abrasion, and a permanent adhesive that bonds to painted steel, powdercoat and textured plastic.
Unlike an aluminum plate, a metal-look badge will not corrode in salt air and does not react with a steel or stainless surface. It needs no drilling or rivets and is rated 5+ years outdoors, which suits hard cases and equipment that travel.
Domed badges or metal-look: how to choose
Both options install the same way and both carry full-color artwork. The difference is the look and the setting.
- Domed: a glossy, raised polyurethane lens over the print. Best where the badge finishes the product and appearance matters as much as durability.
- Metal-look: a flat anodized-aluminum look on 12-mil plastic. Best for hard cases, field equipment and marine or corrosive settings where the badge takes knocks.
- Metal-look sizes include 0.5 x 1, 0.75 x 1.5, 1 x 2 and 1.5 x 3 inches, plus custom sizes. Domed badges are made in any size and shape.
Where 3D badges and nameplates are used
Beyond computer cases, the same domed construction is used for OEM equipment nameplates, finished goods, branded enclosures, limited-edition badges, and award and trophy plates. If the badge needs cutouts for buttons, displays or connectors, that is a graphic overlay, which we also make.
Installing case badges on the line
Badges install by peel-and-stick: peel off the liner and press the badge into place, with nothing to drill, rivet or glue. Compared with a drilled metal plate, install time drops from minutes to seconds, which adds up across a production run.
For the strongest bond, apply to a smooth, clean, dry surface at room temperature. If the badge goes on during assembly and has to hold from day one, ask for the high-bond adhesive option.
Ordering custom case badges
Badges and nameplates are made to order, so they are priced by custom quote. Use the quote form and choose Case badges as the format. The quote comes back priced for your size and quantity. For an accurate quote, include:
- Size and shape
- Quantity
- Your artwork file, vector preferred
- Domed or flat metal-look
- The surface the badge will go on
Badges and asset tags on the same equipment
A badge carries the brand. It does not carry a serial number or a barcode for tracking. If the same equipment also needs asset tags, the spec builder picks the right tier for those in four questions, and our serial number stickers cover numbering and barcodes.
Where one tag has to do both jobs, a metal-look asset tag can carry your logo together with a serial number and barcode, on the same 12-mil construction rated 5+ years outdoors.
FAQ: Case badges
What is a domed badge?
A domed badge is a 3D nameplate: your artwork printed in full color with a clear, glossy polyurethane dome on top. The raised lens makes it look and feel like a finished part.
Will the dome turn yellow?
Our polyurethane is UV stabilized and tested to keep its clarity for 5+ years outdoors. Cheaper epoxy domes will yellow.
Are your metal case badges real metal?
Our metal-look badges are 12-mil plastic with a permanent adhesive, not solid metal. They have the look of anodized aluminum, need no drilling or rivets, and will not corrode.
What shapes and sizes can case badges be?
Any size and shape: squares, rounds, ovals, rectangles or a custom outline that follows your logo.
How do case badges attach?
Peel and stick. A permanent adhesive is standard, and a high-bond adhesive is available for assembly.
How are case badges priced?
Case badges and nameplates are made to order and priced by custom quote. Use the quote form, choose Case badges as the format, and include size, shape, quantity and artwork.
